What began in North Raleigh over 18 years ago as a casual deli has evolved into a full service eatery with menus that feature a variety of southern classics & new American style dishes. We use fresh, high quality ingredients & source locally when possible including Blue Sky Farms, low country seafood and Neomonde bakery. Supporting the amazing local & sustainable products NC has to offer not only benefits our state, the food tastes better for it.
Poppyseed Market gets its name from our beloved grandfather we called Poppy. He enjoyed great food but loved libations he called “Holy Water.” The Deli started with sandwiches and the notion was simple. Perfect all of the ingredients – meat, cheese, vegetables & bread. Make and roast our own turkey, brisket & corned beef. Poppyseed was an instant fit for N. Raleigh.
Now the dream has grown beyond sandwiches to all types of food and dinner service. The expanded wine bar also serves NC draft beers and most recently, craft cocktails from our full bar! Poppyseed has something for everyone including fresh meals for the kids.
